In the School District of River Falls, our students experience a rigorous and personalized education through innovative instructional practices, which include the purposeful integration of technology.

Since 2014, our teachers have been working through three phases of technology integration trainings. Phase one was Tech Tool Training. During this time, teachers were required to demonstrate a basic understanding of iOS and Chrome sytems. The second phase focused on Purposeful Integration. This phased encouraged the use of multiple tech integration models including SAMR, ASSURE, TPAK, and the 4 C's. Teachers developed technology rich lesson plans and evaluated the effect on student learning. The final phase of the Digital Transformation is ongoing coaching and support from a team of technology coaches working throughout the district.

We are also fortunate to have a Student Tech Team from the River Falls High School to support teachers and students as they transform learning within the classroom. These students take time time to learn about different operating systems, apps, web tools, harware and software programs, and device maintence procedures, so that they can troubleshoot technological issues and inform instuctional practices in younger grades.

Our transformation is continuously evolving and improving. The increase in student engagement and acheivement is evident, and we are eager to see these trends continue in the upcoming years.
